EDUCATING LEADERS OF FAITH & CHARACTER
School of Education Recognized By Princeton Review
The University of St. Thomas’ School of Education was named as one of the “Great Schools for 15 of the Most Popular Undergraduate Majors” in a list compiled for the Princeton Review’s 2008 edition of “The Best 366 Colleges.” UST was among 55 other universities, including Columbia University, Cornell University, Trinity University in San Antonio, New York University and Wellesley College, recognized for providing an exceptional undergraduate education program.

UST’s School of Education offers undergraduate majors the opportunity to specialize in a number of education fields, including bilingual, early childhood, elementary, reading, secondary and special. Undergraduates can also receive a degree in dual language through the SOE’s Dual Language Center, which was established to research and promote the benefits of maintaining two languages.

“In our program we focus on our students and work closely with them to help them become caring, confident and strong educators,” Dean of the School of Education Ruth Strudler said.

In creating the list, the Princeton Review conducted independent research, looked at institutional data and talked to its own college admissions experts as well as guidance counselors, college admissions counselors and education experts from across the country.
