UST Women’s Volleyball Team Places in Regional Top Ten

Catherine Loth
Catherine Loth has been playing volleyball for four years at Seton School in Manassas, Virginia. She is a three-year letter winner, playing in the State Tournament each year, under Coach Pat Mooney. Catherine received All-Tournament, All-Conference, All-Area and All-State her junior and senior years. She has played three years of club volleyball, one for Arlington Volleyball Club and two for Clash Volleyball Club. Catherine plans on majoring in philosophy and is very exciting about playing for St. Thomas is the fall. Alisha Wyscarver
Alisha is a two year letter winner as a setter at Tarkington High School, leading her team to playoffs both years. Alisha received All-Tournament and 1st team All-District her junior year and 1st team All-District and Academic All-State her senior year. She played four years of club volleyball, three years playing for Willowbrook and currently playing for Texas Airborne. She will be graduating from Tarkington as the Salutatorian of my class and a member of the Beta Club. She plans on will be working towards becoming a physical therapist. Pictured are her grandfather, John Wyscarver, and grandmother, Dianne Wyscarver, high school coach, Denise Johnson and UST coach, Jill Reynolds.

Stephanie Smith
On May 12, 2007 Senior Stephanie Smith officially signed her letter of intent with The University of St. Thomas Volleyball Team. She’s the Daughter of Roxann Martinez Fisher and Steven Nelson Smith.  Stephanie will graduate this year from Challenge Early College High School with Honors and an Associates Degree from Houston Community College, Southwest Campus.  Stephanie played Varsity Volleyball at Bellaire High School under the direction of Ap Clark, where she assisted in taking the Lady Cardinals to their 8th District HISD Title.  Stephanie plays Club volleyball for Houston Southwest Heat under Coaches Nakia Harrison-Lopez and Shannon Natho.  For the past four years Stephanie has been an active member of Who's Who Among American High School Students®, National Society of High School Scholars, and The National Honor Society. Stephanie plans to purse a Double Doctorate in Psychology and Genetics.
