Why School of Arts and Sciences
The School of Arts & Sciences is the University of St. Thomas' largest school. The School consists of 20 academic units and offers undergraduate majors in the natural sciences, the social sciences, humanities, and the fine arts. With over 80 tenured or tenure-track faculty and 900 undergraduate students, the School of Arts & Sciences offers a wide variety of programs of study, courses, and opportunities for students outside of the classroom.
The School provides many choices for students, but also is dedicated to assisting students to become connected to the university, local, and world communities. Connection points exist through programming for honors students, departmental advising, the St. Augustine Living-Learning Center, undergraduate research, and internship opportunities. Many of our students choose to major in two areas or complement their Arts & Sciences major with an Arts & Sciences minor. |
